Gontse Sekhitla is a founding leader of Catenate Advisory with more than 15 years of experience across institutional investing in South Africa and broader African markets. An actuary by training, he brings a rare combination of analytical precision, strategic insight and commercial understanding to investment decision-making.

His background includes strategic asset allocation, liability-driven investing, asset-liability modelling, manager due diligence and portfolio design for both defined benefit and defined contribution funds.

Throughout his career, Gontse has advised institutions across South Africa, Botswana, Eswatini, Malawi, Namibia and Nigeria, giving him broad exposure to evolving governance, regulatory and investment dynamics across the continent.

At Catenate, Gontse leads the investment actuarial function with discipline and a forward-looking perspective — helping institutions make well-informed decisions in increasingly demanding investment environments.
